Today, my cousin and I hopped in the car and took to the Sally's Beauty Supply on 8890 Valley View Street in Cypress, and the Marshall's right across on 5895 Lincoln Avenue.
Sally's always has a decent clearance running so we went there first. Their clearance was full of Sally brand makeup, mostly mini shadows and glosses. We also saw some hair care products and salon products. Not being familiar with Sally's brands, my cousin and I picked up a few cheap things just to test them out. It's always a good idea to buy mini-versions of makeup to see if you like it or not. If you're shopping from the sale, the smaller and cheaper, the better because you can't return them.
The dark, dusty purple single shadow on the top left was 99 cents since it is bigger than the cheaper ones. The baked green single shadow on the top right was just 10 cents!

These Sally Girl mini eye shadows were all 69 cents each! There were 20 or more shades to choose from and I chose these four (left to right): Beige, Champagne, Coral, Brick. Beige is a nice, neutral shade that could go as a transition color and the other three shimmers can work well on their own or all together! I'm especially excited about Brick, because I don't often pick up reddish shades but this one seemed so pretty with its slightly copper sparkle.

Sally's also had a sale on nail polish. It was buy one get one on marked down polishes. Many of them were gel, so if you know how to cure them and have the supplies to do so, I would recommend stopping by Sally's. The ones we picked up were these two by ORLY. The one on the left is in the color "Ingenue" and the other is in "Mirrorball."

After our stop at Sally's, we went to Marshall's mainly to find a decent hairbrush for my cousin then browse makeup. She found this wet/dry handle-free brush for $3.99 and these two Stila (yes, Stila!) glosses for $4.99 each.

The one on the left is in the shade "Garnet" and the other is in "Kitten."

Marshall's had a good makeup selection today, stocked with Stila, BareMinerals, and Estée Lauder. They had plenty more Stila glosses besides these and in almost 10 other pink and nude shades.
What I was looking for was medium nude or pink Marvelous Moxie glosses by BareMinerals after seeing a couple of them in (too light for me) nude shades. After receiving one for Christmas and finally getting a taste of high-end makeup, I've developed a tiny crave for more. Of course I'll most likely never pay full price for the gloss... or a gloss... so I'll be back again at Marshall's makeup section with a mission.
