My Easter Ensemble

Hi, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter with loved ones! I attended church yesterday morning then enjoyed the rest of the day with my family. When choosing an outfit, I was very particular. I wanted something with a little white and appropriate for church. After hours of rummaging through my closet and trying on a bunch of different combinations that included white and kept it classy, I finally put together the perfect Easter ensemble!

This maxi dress was (I believe) $5 from Marshall's. It was on clearance a while back and might have been less than $5. I've only worn it one other time which was to the beach. I love the fit even though it's a little too long for me. I think the pattern is so classy and not too crazy for something I'd wear.

I thought adding a bulky jean jacket like this one would make this outfit more formal and appropriate for church. The jacket is from the Britney Spears by Candie's collection at Kohl's. I also bought it a while back but I'm thinking years ago, when I still paid full price for clothes, so I don't remember the price. The fit on it is kind of tight since I had bought it a long time ago and I only have like 999,999,999 other jean jackets in my closet, but it still turns anything semi-formal, is very warm, and is in great condition so I keep it.

These leather kitten heels introduced more well-needed white into the outfit. They were $3.50 at Goodwill. I bought them when I first started thrifting in 2013 and they have managed to retain their shape. I remember them being very clean and practically untouched at the sole and bottom of the shoes, as if they had never been worn. They made me develop a thrill for thrifting. If you're someone like me who isn't pro at walking in heels or if you're a beginner, then these heels are a great start. They are sophisticated, delicate, and still feminine.
